A Short Note Before You Begin

Questions familiesask us.

These are the questions we hear most often from parents, children, and the families they are building together. Take your time. There is no urgency here.

Getting Started

Where tobegin.

The shape of HRTG in plain terms. Start here if you have never used a digital legacy vault before.

hrtg.me is a secure digital legacy platform that helps you preserve life lessons, memories, and important information for your family.

Unlike general cloud storage, hrtg.me is designed for long-term, planned handover: your messages and records are meant to reach the right people at the right time, sometimes decades from now.

Traditional cloud storage focuses on file storage and sharing.

hrtg.me is built for planned legacy delivery, and end-to-end encryption is foundational, not optional.

In a typical cloud storage product, the provider holds the encryption keys and can technically read your files, scan them for moderation, or hand them over under legal pressure. On hrtg.me, your content is encrypted on your device before it leaves you. We never see the keys, so we never see the content.

It is not just about saving files. It is about passing on meaning, securely.

Yes.

hrtg.me is designed to be Simple, Guided, Mobile-friendly, and Step-by-step.

End-to-end encryption is on by default. You do not configure it, and you do not need to understand how it works. You just need your stories and experiences.

hrtg.me is ideal for parents and families, founders and professionals, migrant families, caregivers, and anyone planning long-term legacy.

If you want to pass on knowledge, values, and security, hrtg.me is for you.

Getting started is simple: create a secure account, set up your profile, and record your first message inside your encrypted vault.

Your digital legacy begins with one story, stored privately.

Trust & Privacy

Built likea vault.

End-to-end encryption is foundational, not a feature on top. This is the line that separates HRTG from every general cloud storage product on the market.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) means your content is encrypted on your own device before it ever reaches our servers. The keys that unlock it never leave your control.

We cannot read your messages, videos, documents, or notes, by architecture, not by policy. We cannot scan your content for moderation, analytics, or any other purpose.

If a government, court, or attacker compels us to hand over data, what they receive is ciphertext we cannot decrypt. Even our own engineers cannot recover your content if you lose your keys.

This is what makes a legacy vault meaningfully different from cloud storage: the vault is yours alone, by design.

Yes. You fully own all content you upload to hrtg.me.

Because your content is end-to-end encrypted, ownership is enforced cryptographically, not just legally. We have the limited technical rights needed to securely host and deliver the encrypted blobs; we do not have the rights or the ability to read them.

We do not claim ownership of your data.

Security is foundational to hrtg.me. The current architecture uses end-to-end encryption on all user content (encrypt-on-device, keys stay with you), strong authentication for account access, protected hardened storage infrastructure for the encrypted blobs, and controlled access management for any operational tooling.

Because the encryption happens before your content leaves your device, the strength of the protection does not depend on trusting us. It depends on the math.

No. By design, not by promise.

Your content is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers, with keys we never see. Our staff, our systems, and our infrastructure have access only to encrypted blobs that look like random noise without your key.

We do not monitor, analyse, or read your private messages, videos, or documents. We could not, even if we wanted to.

If we receive a valid legal request, our process is to review the legality of the request, minimise data disclosure to what is strictly required, and notify users where legally permitted.

Because user content is end-to-end encrypted, the data we can technically produce is metadata (such as account existence and timestamps), not readable content. We aim to protect user privacy at all times.

We comply with applicable data protection regulations, and the architecture itself is privacy-first. We clearly state what metadata we collect (we cannot collect content; it is encrypted), why we collect each piece of metadata, how long we keep it, and how you can access or delete it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not have private content to sell.

How The Vault WorksComing Soon

The mechanics,quietly.

How the vault is being built out. The features below extend the secure foundation that is already live today, and will ship in subsequent releases.

You will be able to release content based on age (e.g. 18, 21, 30), education milestones, life events, and custom schedules.

The goal is to ensure your messages arrive when they matter most, without you having to be there to deliver them.

hrtg.me is built with legacy planning in mind. You will be able to appoint trusted contacts, set access rules in advance, and prepare handover instructions.

When verified conditions are met, authorised recipients will receive access according to your chosen settings. The intent is to avoid families having to recover passwords or piece together intentions after the fact.

Yes. You will be able to edit messages, replace files, delete content, change access rules, and reorganise your vault.

Your archive will grow and evolve with you.

No, unless you explicitly allow it.

By default: parents create and manage content, recipients receive read-only access, and editing rights are controlled by you.

Yes. You will be able to export your content in standard formats for personal backup or offline storage.

Because the content is end-to-end encrypted, export means decrypting locally and writing out the plaintext you already control. Your data always belongs to you.

What You Can StoreComing Soon

From lettersto ledgers.

Dedicated handling for financial assets, legal documents, and long-form archives is on the roadmap. All of it will sit inside the same end-to-end encrypted vault.

Yes. Dedicated structures for asset records, account references, important instructions, and personal documentation are on the roadmap.

We recommend avoiding sensitive credentials and using hrtg.me alongside professional estate planning.

Purpose-built handling for legal documents (will references, estate planning material, structured handover instructions) is on the roadmap.

For the legal transfer of assets, estates, or property itself, you should always work with qualified legal and financial professionals. hrtg.me complements that work; it does not replace it.

Storage allowances will be set per subscription plan. Plans are designed to support high-quality video messages, long-term archives, and growing family libraries.

You will be able to upgrade as your needs grow.

Practical Matters

Plans forthe long road.

Pricing, recovery, and continuity. The questions that come up once you have decided the vault is for you.

We offer flexible plans designed for families and professionals. Pricing details are available in the app and on our website.

End-to-end encryption makes this question more serious than on a typical cloud product. Because we never see your keys, we cannot decrypt your content for you, and we cannot reset your way back into the vault by ourselves.

To protect against permanent loss, the platform supports secure recovery processes you set up in advance and backup recovery methods you control.

We strongly recommend storing your recovery information somewhere safe. Treat it like the only key to a real vault, because it is.

No. hrtg.me supports your legacy planning and family communication. It is the vault, not the legal instrument.

For the legal transfer of assets, estates, or property, you should always consult qualified legal and financial professionals.

We design hrtg.me with long-term continuity in mind. Our approach includes clear data ownership and continuity planning. Your legacy should never depend on a single platform.

Because your content is encrypted with keys you hold, even an export from a discontinued service remains under your control.
