hrtg (Heritage) is a parenting and legacy technology company building digital products, educational initiatives, and meaningful partnerships that help families preserve knowledge, strengthen relationships, and prepare future generations, from life lessons and memories to legacy planning and financial inheritance.
The keys to your vault are created on your own phone. The only copy we keep is of your data key, locked by your vault password, and we cannot open it. What you keep in the vault will be encrypted with those keys before it leaves your phone, so HRTG can never read it, scan it, or recover it, by architecture, not by policy.

No technical expertise required, and no hurry. The secure foundation is live today: your account, sign-ins you approve from your phone, and keys that never reach us in a form we can read. The steps below describe how the rest of the vault will work as it ships.
It begins on your phone. The HRTG app creates your account and your keys, and those keys only leave your phone sealed: to your new phone when you transfer, and to us as a copy of your data key that only your vault password opens. Inviting the people you want to reach will come later.
Keep the memories, voice notes, and life lessons in your own words, encrypted before they leave your phone. Dedicated places for documents, financial records, and inheritance instructions will follow.
This is the part still being built. In time you will be able to choose who receives what, and when: at eighteen, at a wedding, or long after you are gone.

hrtg.me is built with long-term legacy and inheritance planning in mind, and that part of the vault is still being built. In subsequent releases you will be able to appoint trusted contacts, set access rules in advance, and prepare handover instructions, so that when verified conditions are met, the people you chose receive access on the terms you set. The aim is to spare families the confusion of piecing intentions together after the fact.

Sign-in is device-bound rather than password-based, and every new sign-in has to be approved from your phone. Private family content is designed so that only you and the recipients you choose can open it.
That is where the vault is headed. Dedicated structures for asset records, insurance information, property references, important family documents, and financial instructions are on the roadmap, and all of it will sit inside the same end-to-end encrypted vault. We are committed to responsible and transparent data practices. We clearly communicate what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and protected, and how users can manage or delete their data. We do not sell personal family data or private user information. Your family's memories, legacy, and personal information deserve trust, respect, and long-term protection.
