Breaking the Language Barrier to Understanding the Qur'an
For many Muslims, learning to read the Holy Qur'an is an important part of growing up.
But understanding it is often a different journey altogether.
One of the biggest barriers is language. While millions of Muslims around the world can recite the Qur'an in Arabic, many do not fully understand the meaning behind the verses or know where to begin when searching for guidance on everyday questions.
At hrtg, we asked ourselves a simple question:
What if technology could make the wisdom of the Qur'an more accessible, without replacing traditional Islamic learning?
That question led to the creation of Ask Al Qur'an, a feature within Doa Bersama that allows users to ask questions in natural language and receive relevant Qur'anic verses and reflections.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first app developed in Singapore that offers this experience.
What is Ask Al Qur'an?
Ask Al Qur'an allows users to ask everyday questions such as:
How can I be more patient?
What does the Qur'an say about gratitude?
How should I deal with anxiety?
What can I learn about family relationships?
How can I become a better parent?
Instead of requiring users to search through chapters and verses manually, the platform helps surface relevant verses from the Holy Qur'an, together with reflections that encourage further learning.
The goal is simple:
To make the Qur'an easier to approach for everyone.
We Are Not Replacing Religious Scholars
This is an important point.
Ask Al Qur'an is not designed to replace ustaz, scholars, religious teachers, or formal Islamic education.
Nothing replaces years of study, proper interpretation, and guidance from qualified scholars.
Instead, we see this as an entry point.
A way to encourage more people to explore the Qur'an, become curious, and continue learning through trusted religious teachers and communities.
Technology should support learning—not replace it.
Why We Built It
At hrtg, we build products centred around parenting, legacy, and meaningful conversations across generations.
As parents ourselves, we believe many of the teachings found in the Qur'an remain deeply relevant to everyday life.
Lessons about:
Patience
Gratitude
Kindness
Family
Responsibility
Purpose
Forgiveness
These are values that many parents hope to pass on to the next generation.
By making the Qur'an more approachable, we hope families can have more meaningful conversations together.
Built in Singapore, Designed for the Muslim Community
Doa Bersama is proudly built by hrtg, a Singapore-based parenting technology startup focused on helping families build lasting values and meaningful legacies.
Ask Al Qur'an is one of several products within our ecosystem that combines thoughtful technology with human-centred design.
We believe technology should not simply make life more convenient.
It should help people build stronger families, better habits, and deeper connections.
Still Early. Still Learning.
This feature is currently in its early stages.
Like every product we build, we expect it to improve through real feedback from the community.
We would love to hear your thoughts.
Challenge it.
Test it.
Tell us where it can be better.
Every piece of feedback helps us improve.
Try Ask Al Qur'an Today
We are currently running an early bird promotion, making it a great time to explore the platform.

If you find it helpful, we would truly appreciate it if you could share it with your family and friends.

We are grateful that our co-founder, Rizky Budiyanto, recently had the opportunity to conduct a career sharing session at Eunoia Junior College as part of an educational programme organised by SEAmplified. During the session, Rizky shared about career opportunities in the media industry, navigating career transitions, and preparing for the AI era. But beyond the talk itself, it also became a meaningful opportunity for us to launch the MVP of one of hrtg's core features: Message to Your Future...

Cultivate Good Habits

Grow your tree. 🌳 Cultivate values through small good habits. We often talk to our children & loved ones about kindness, responsibility, and gratitude. But values are not learned through lectures. They grow through small actions repeated every day. Saying thank you. Helping to set the table. Being kind. Tiny actions. Repeated consistently. Over time, those small habits quietly become values. This thought stayed with me for a long time. And it eventually led us to build something small. At ...

We are truly honoured to be featured by Berita Harian Singapura , Rizky Budiyanto shared the story behind why Heritage was created and the journey that shaped our mission. What began as simple personal videos between a father and his daughter has grown into a platform designed to help families preserve what truly matters; life lessons, love, and lived experiences. In a world shaped by algorithms and endless noise, children are surrounded by many voices. hrtg.me was built to ensure that...
